Forming part of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre development in Southbank, the Hilton South Wharf hotel is a five star, 15-storey building comprising 364 rooms and 32 serviced apartments.

Rising from the concrete precast-clad podium, the façade of the hotel tower features floor to floor glazing and revealed slab edges. The design of the podium incorporates large span composite steel and concrete floors, providing column-free spaces for the hotel lobby and dining areas, as well as the meeting rooms in the adjacent Convention Centre. Guestrooms on alternating floors feature triangulated and staggered bay windows, creating a chequerboard effect across the façade.

Guest amenities include a business centre, a 600-person bar featuring a structural steel framed wine store suspended from the floor above, restaurant, breakfast bakery and indigenous art gallery. The connectivity between the hotel and the adjoining Melbourne Convention Centre enables guests to move with ease between the two venues, with both sharing access to meeting rooms and a banquet hall.
