The refurbishment of Melbourne’s heritage-listed Rialto Hotel into a five-star, Intercontinental Hotel-branded development included the upgrade of the building, addition of a new lift motor room, new partial floor in the Upper Ground Level void, removal of internal walls, and the creation of a link between the hotel and the forecourt of the adjacent Rialto Towers building.

Whilst a Director of Bonacci Winward, Kevin Winward was involved in the original 1982 conversion of these historic 1890s wool store buildings into the Menzies at Rialto Hotel as part of the total redevelopment of the site (which also included a new hotel wing and office tower).
