Jaques Apartments in Richmond, Melbourne is a staged multi-residential development comprising 400 apartments and townhouses across four buildings, ranging from 5-10 storeys in height. Occupied by industrial engineers Jaques Bros Limited from 1885-1997, the original brick façade of the machinery plant enclosing the site will be partially demolished, reworked and incorporated into the architecture so as to create a sense of connection between the site’s historic past and its future as a premier residential development.

Stage 1 comprises 92 apartments and 17 townhouses within a c-shaped, 5-storey building; resident amenities include a landscaped internal courtyard on the Second Floor and Ground and First Floor car parking.

Stage 2 comprises a mix of 229 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments spread across two buildings, one at ten levels and the other six levels. Residences range from 46 to 170 square metres. The development all provides a 10th floor communal rooftop with views of the city, on-site gym and internal car and bicycle parking.

Stage 3 comprises 56 large luxury apartments with 23 one-bedroom apartments ranging from 55-72sqm, 24 two-bedroom apartments ranging from 81-101sqm and nine three-bedroom apartments at 152-170sqm with balconies adding another 52 square metres of outdoor space. There are 80 car parks for the 56 apartments and some apartments also come with a walk-in storage connected to the apartment.
